More on the bathroom

I thought I would share the paint color I am thinking about for the bathroom to see if that helps with the "Love" the wallpaper or "List" the wallpaper issue.

You see, when it is time for me to pick a paint color, there is no need for me to go to the paint store....
I have a paint drawer in my house.
The drawer is full of paint swatches from different stores, different lines of paint, notes on where I have used the particular color, or where I have seen it in use somewhere else.
I like the paint drawer system.
Instead of going to the store and being overwhelmed with tons of colors, shades, intensities etc.,
I can just open my drawer to colors that I know I like.
Much easier. I highly recommend this system.
Sooo....
What color did I pick from the drawer?!?
My twin, Abby, decided to paint a good portion of her remodeled house in a color called
 "Yachtsman" from Lowes.
So one random trip to Lowes, I had to pick up a "Yachtsman" sample for myself, just in case I might need it sometime.

Yachtsman is ever so slightly more saturated than some of the other tones in my house, but I think it will go nicely with the cream tiles. I have found that in older homes, if you pick a hue that is too light (meaning it has too much white in it), it can make the old woodwork or tile look extra yellow and old.
So I think a slightly more saturated color will help with this.....
Yachtsman is my current color choice.

Thoughts?

  1. So funny! I was scrolling down and I was thinking to myself: that stairway looks familiar--wait--it's my stairway!! Of course, I love Yachtsman. It is such a neat color: looks very blue at times, sometimes gray, sometimes green. I have it everywhere (as you know!) and love it!! Thanks for the shout out Twin!
