Speaking of nice neighbors.....

Last Monday I mentioned how great neighbors make great neighborhoods.
Little did I know that on that day, one of our wonderful neighbors, Dave, would be helping us out....
Dave looked out and saw this in our front yard.
The water hydrant burst and was flooding the street, our yard, our neighborhood......
Dave called the water company and Evan.
He checked our house to make sure we didn't have any busted pipes or water in our basement and that the doggies were okay of course.

What a great neighbor!
I am so thankful that he was home and was able to help us out.
It is so nice to have neighbors that you are friends with and that look out for one another.
Evan and I are so grateful for our many wonderful neighbors.

Evan and I were worried that one of our pipes had burst and we would have a HUGE expense on our hands. Thankfully it was just the hydrant that collapsed, nothing to do with the pipes going into our house (so no expense on our end). The hydrant was still the original one from 1925!

Citizens water did a great job coming out quickly and they worked until the job was done (which was 8:30 pm-- long day for them), to restore the hydrant and turn back on our water.
Thank you!

And now our front yard looks like this.
Citizens water said that a company should be coming out to fix our yard...
.... to be continued.
